The National Science Foundation\u2019s Center for Science of Information invites graduate and advanced undergraduate students and postdoc scholars in the life sciences, computer science, electrical engineering, statistics, and similar fields with an interest in approaching data science problems from a multidisciplinary approach to participate in this week long workshop. The spirit of the workshop is to lower barriers for understanding the language and approaches in the life sciences and data science. Students will gain an understanding of the approaches, methods, and tools of another field of study, while having the opportunity to gain experience working in small interdisciplinary groups focused on cutting edge life science research. Students will work toward potential solutions for data analysis and visualization with funding opportunities for continued team research following the workshop. Space is limited \u2013 deadline to apply is June 8. Travel funding is available, and lodging and meals will be provided.
