Fluorometer Calculated Endpoints - Efficiency of PSII photochemistry (ΦPSII)

ΦPSII = (Fm'-Ft)/Fm'

This parameter measures the proportion of light absorbed by chlorophyll associated with PSII that is used in photochemistry. Linear electron transport can be calculated from ΦPSII.

Variables Measured Directly

  1. Fm' - light-adapted maximum fluorescence; obtained after a saturating pulse of light
  2. Ft - fluorescence at a given time, usually at steady-state just before a saturating pulse of light.
